Kindness is a ripple effect. When one person does something nice for another, the recipient is often encouraged to share the feeling of good with another. Thus numerous people can be blessed by one person’s action. In this, it is evident that caring for others is important. You can be the person who begins the domino effect of caring for others; all it takes is faith and courage. There are many ways to care for the needy around you. You can try caring for the elderly, young, and impoverished, for example, by volunteering at retirement homes or nurseries, handing out necessities to the homeless, and supporting politicians who want to increase financial support of these groups. One can also care for others by supporting young businesses; purchasing goods from indie entrepreneurs is always something that their owners greatly appreciate, and by purchasing from them you allow them to continuously sustain their companies and bless others. Finally, you can be caring on a local level by lending a hand to your family and friends, whether through homework help, meal prep, or even babysitting younger siblings while your parents are away.
No matter what age or stage of life you are in, you can extend care to those around you. Try it when given the opportunity, and with an open mind, watch your kindness work wonders in the lives of those you extend it to!
