But, what is happiness, exactly?
Happiness often means different things to different people. For some, happiness is spending time with a loved one or pet. Engaging a beloved hobby like reading, baking, drawing, or playing video games are other things that bring grins to people’s faces and incites this trait in them. For many, seeking joy in their everyday lives brings pervasive glee that actually elevates their mood, driving them to seek more happiness and forming a wonderful cycle of positivity! Happiness is an incredible feeling that even has spiritual benefits; according to Proverbs 17:22, “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones”, and as noted by greatergood.berkeley.edu, being happy is heart-healthy, good for the immune system, and can even increase longevity!
